Volkswagen ID. 2all, ‘Future Polo EV’ Revealed.

Volkswagen ID. 2all, electric replacement of Golf, which could go into production in 2025 for European markets has been revealed. The vehicle introduces us to the new design language of Volkswagen.

“The ID. 2all gives a preview of the new design language of Volkswagen, which is based on the three pillars stability, likeability and enthusiasm.” , Andreas Mindt, Head of Design at Volkswagen Passenger Cars says.

The ID.2 all could come with battery having a claimed WLTP range of 450 km and producing 226ps of power. The vehicle would be priced for less than €25,000 in European markets. The ID. 2all will be Volkswagen’s first FWD EV based on MEB platform. Boot space on offer would be 490 liters – 1330 liters.

We want to be close to the customer and offer top technology in combination with fantastic design. We are implementing the transformation at pace to bring electric mobility to the masses.” , Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars says.

Volkswagen is betting big on electric vehicles and is set to introduce 10 new electric models by 2026. Earlier the company had revised its target EV sales by 2030 from 70% to 80% of passenger car sales.
