Audi Q6 e-tron prototype was recently spotted in camouflage testing in extreme winter conditions. The model is close to production with a launch likely happening in the year 2025.
As the name suggest the Q6 e-tron would be positioned between Q4 e-tron and Q8 e-tron. The model would be the first car based on PPE platform( Premium Platform Electric). The platform supports 800-volt electrical system, powerful and efficient electric motors, an innovative battery charging management system.
The upcoming model would be available in both SUV and sport back variants. It remains to be seen as to what design elements will the production model retain in comparison to prototype version.
The automaker will reveal additional details about Q6 e-tron in the coming months. By 2025, Audi is set to introduce up to 20 vehicles, out of which more than 10 would be EVs.
“Our Vorsprung 2030 strategy provides the right answers, even in times of multiple crises, we are completely focused on sustainability and systematically advancing the digitization and electrification of our products.” says Markus Duesmann, CEO of AUDI AG.
