The EV industry sold a total of 10,25,063 units in 2022. The sales of two-wheelers rose 36.09 percent from 2022 to 2017 to 8,59,376 units. E-three-wheeler sales rose 65.23 percent year-over-year, from 3,52,710 units sold in 2022 to 5,82,793 in 2023.
An official report from the Federation of Automobile Dealers’ Association (FADA) on Tuesday said that sales of electric vehicles in India rose by 49.25% year-over-year to 15,29,947 units in 2023.
A year ago, 2,649 e-commercial cars were sold. In 2023, 5,673 units were sold, up 114.1% from the previous year. The FADA says that sales of electric passenger vehicles rose 114.71% from 38,240 cars in 2022 to 82,105 units last year.
