Tata Motors announced Tata Punch variants and pricing. The Punch EV is now on sale; the variants cost 10.99 lahks and 14.99 lahks. Beginning on January 22, people can buy the electric SUV.
The car company started taking pre-orders for the electric car earlier this month, with a Rs 21,000 deposit required. Now, the Punch EV is on its way to stores near you.
The Punch EV will likely be priced between the Tiago EV and the Nexon EV, making it the country’s least expensive electric SUV.
There will be five different models of the Tata Punch EV: the Smart, the Smart+, the Adventure, the Empowered, and the Empowered+. Every version will come with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with mobile connectivity, a Harmon Kardon audio system,an air purifier,a 10.25-inch touchscreen, single-pane sunroof, cruise control, six airbags, and ventilated front seats.
Here are the prices for each version of the new Tata Punch EV, as shown in the showroom:
- Smart costs 10.99 lakh rupees.
- Smart+ costs 11.49 lakh rupees.
- Adventure: 11.99 lakh rupees LR: 12.99 lakh rupees
- Giving power – Rs. 12.79 lakh
- Given Power LR: 13.99 lakh rupees
- Empowered+ costs Rs. 13.29 lakh. LR: 14.49 lakh rupees
The Tata Punch EV will come with two different battery packs: one with 25 kWh of power and one with 35 kWh. The brand also has two charger options: a 3.3 kW wall box charger and a 7.2 kW fast home charger available only for the LR model.
There will be four color choices for the Tata Punch EV: Seaweed Dual Tone, Empowered Oxide Dual Tone, Fearless Red Dual Tone, Daytona Grey Dual Tone, and Pristine White Dual Tone.
The 25kWh battery pack in the regular Punch.ev is said to have a range (MIDC) of 315km, and the 35kWh battery pack is in the punch.ev Long Range is said to have a range (MIDC) of 421km.
The electric version of the Punch was shown off soon after Tata Motors opened two shops in Gurugram that are only for electric cars. The Indian company plans to open new showrooms for electric vehicles in Tier-I and Tier-II cities in the next 12 to 18 months.
At the same time, Tata Motors stresses that the acti.ev platform has a “optimized battery pack design” that makes the energy efficiency 10 percent higher.
The platform has different range choices, from 300 km to 600 km. For AC fast charging, the acti.ev has an onboard charger that ranges from 7.2kW to 11kW. It can also handle DC fast charging up to 150kW. When you fast charge, the company says it can add 100 km to your range in 10 minutes.
