The new Mini Cooper EV is expected to receive design updates and bigger battery options. Mini Cooper EV is scheduled to debut next year.
The Mini Cooper EVs have been experiencing a boom in demand. Currently Mini Cooper EV is offered with a 32.6 kWh battery. The WLTP certified range for current Mini Cooper EV is 270 km.
“The excellent overall result and the fact that every tenth new MINI is fully electric show that our strategy for the future is setting the right priorities,” says Bernd Körber, Head of the MINI Brand. “The MINI community is growing, and it is moving towards electromobility with great strides.
However the updated Mini Cooper EV could be offered with 40 kWh and 54 kWh battery. This could increase the range and power significantly especially with 54 kWh variant.
In addition to Cooper, MINI wants to hit the goal of having electric vehicles accounting for at least half of new car sales by mid-2025. For more details about Mini Cooper EV we would have to wait for some time.
