Mahindra is gearing up to expand its electric vehicle range with the upcoming XUV 3XO EV, a compact electric SUV positioned below the XUV400. This new model aims to attract buyers looking for an affordable yet well-equipped EV. With test prototypes already spotted, an official launch seems to be around the corner.

Design & Features
The XUV 3XO EV is expected to retain much of the styling of its petrol and diesel counterpart, featuring sleek LED projector headlamps, signature C-shaped LED DRLs, and a connected LED tail lamp setup. To differentiate the electric variant, Mahindra is likely to introduce a refreshed front grille, a redesigned bumper, and exclusive paint options. A charging port is conveniently placed above the right front fender.
Inside, the cabin is expected to come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with features like a digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera system, and wireless phone charging. The SUV may also include dual-zone climate control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a premium sound system.
Battery, Range & Charging
Powering the XUV 3XO EV will likely be a 34.5 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of around 400 km per charge. The SUV is also expected to support DC fast charging, making it a practical choice for both daily commutes and long-distance travel.
Expected Price & Competition
Mahindra is expected to price the XUV 3XO EV at around Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it as a strong rival to the Tata Punch EV, Citroën eC3, and MG Windsor EV.
Additionally, Mahindra has plans to introduce the XEV 7e later this year, which will share design and technology elements with the upcoming BE 6 and XEV 9e
