Volvo’s second all-electric vehicle has just been released in India. The new EV – Volvo C40 Recharge. The C40 Recharge is a completely knocked-down (CKD) unit.
Based on Volvo’s CMA(Compact Modular Architecture) platform C40 Recharge is a coupe-SUV. The strong LED headlights and the three-piece bumper up front are carried over from the previous generation.
The battery pack is 78 kWh. The claimed range is 420 kms in single charge. The E80 battery pack claims to have range of 530 km in single charge. However, it remains to be seen about actual range in practical driving conditions.
The Volvo C40 Recharge has advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, a blind spot monitoring system, and a parking aid, as well as numerous airbags and anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD)
There is a 9-inch touch infotainment system in the C40 Recharge’s cabin. The sunroof is wide and we know how Indians love the sunroof feature in cars. The SUV-coupe boasts a Harman Kardon audio system with 13 speakers. It has a 360-degree camera, heated and cooled front seats, and motorized front seats.
The automaker is yet to release the pricing. Once the pricing of the forthcoming Volvo C40 Recharge is made public, bookings will begin in August. Beginning in September deliveries will be made.
